Grown throughout East Asia and the Himalayas for Azuki's are small (approximately 5 mm) beans. These beans are grown most plentifully in north-east Asia, and have a uniform red color, but white, black, gray and variously mottled varieties are also known. The azuki is the second most consumed legume in Japan.
