Organic Panela (Rapadura) Sugar
[Produce of Peru]


I have been using this sugar in fruit puddings(ie. cranberry, cherry & almond; also pear, cranberry & walnut) that I make for dessert for my restaurant. I find that it has the same properties as brown sugar when used in cooking, but does not have the sickly sweetness. It allows the flavour of the fruits to come through beautifully!
