- Country of Origin: France
Referred to as ‘Flour de Sel’ in French, literally translating to “flower of salt” (how beautiful) is one of the finest and rarest salts in the world. It has a very light briny taste, and a delicate crunch making it much appreciated as a condiment. The lovely potent taste goes well as table salt as well, a small pinch goes a long way!
Because it is a moist salt, it does not suck all the moisture out of food when used as a finishing salt, unlike kosher salt which makes it great for cooking if you’re not wanting it to take over the dish.
If you are concerned with consuming too much salt, we encourage you to give this salt a try! It is like a kiss from the ocean.
