There are three varieties of peppercorns: black, green, and white. Black peppercorns are however, the type you’re probably most familiar with. There is a distinct and undeniable earthiness to the flavour of black peppercorns, one that is woody, piney, and sharp all at the same time. 

At the end of the day, black peppercorns can be added to almost any kind of food: red meat, seafood, beans, lentils, berries, apples, pears, cheese, soups, stews, poultry, and the list goes on… Freshly ground, black peppercorns are the ideal seasoning for pretty much anything.
