Grown in the Riverina region of Eastern Australia Short or Medium Grain White Rice is a clean flavoured, translucent and oval shaped grain. It is starchier than a lot of other rices which creates a stickiness and a creamy texture.
A short white rice grain is extremely versatile as it can be used in sweet and savoury cooking or prepared and consumed by itself. Short grain rices promote moisture retention and as such provide a better feel for the diner.
