Baba ganoush is similar to hummus, but it calls for grilled or roasted eggplant instead of chickpeas. Baba Ganoush is a silky, luxurious combination of eggplant, tahini paste, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. This dip originated in the Eastern Mediterranean, and is often served together with pita bread and raw, crisp veggies.
You can use baba ganoush like you would hummus—as a dip or spread. Drizzle some extra virgin over the top, sprinkle with paprika and add a fresh herb of your choice to accompany a colourful plate of raw veggies such as carrot, capsicum, cucumber celery to dip with. Pita bread or corn chips on the side… did someone say easy healthy and delicious all at once? Yes, we did.
