Coffee is a small red fruit which has to go through a long process before it turns into a well-known tasty brown coffee bean. Once the fruit skin of the coffee cherries has been removed, small green beans appear - often referred to as raw coffee. Because of its green colour raw coffee is often referred to as green coffee.

Despite its neutral taste the coffee in its raw form is often used for health reasons (usually as a drink or green coffee extract).

It is said to positively affect our performance, enhance vitality and provide energy. It reduces inflammations and lowers blood pressure. It also promotes liver health and is even believed to prevent cancer and increase the effectiveness of drugs.
