Colombian coffee is renowned the world over for its quality and delicious taste; in fact, along with a couple of other countries, Colombia's coffee is generally seen as some of the best in the world.
This variety of Colombian Coffee is grown in Pitalito which is a region renowned for its high quality coffee production. Because the region is at altitude the fruit grow at a slightly slower rate than normal meaning that sugars are able to better absorb which in turn should translate to more flavour in the coffee itself.
The classic Colombian profile brings together a mellow acidity and a strong caramel sweetness, perhaps with a nutty undertone. The flavour of the bean should be rich and acidic but also leave a taste of sweetness. It is sweet and medium-bodied AKA, delicious!
